Excellent meal We came to The Old Ship Aground for an evening meal and were very impressed. The waiting staff were all so helpful. Had an excellent drink recommendation from one of the lads. Even though they were busy we didn't feel rushed. The service was unhurried and very attentive from everyone. The young lady behind the bar was lovely and was working really hard (they all were). The staff all seem like really lovely people who enjoy helping people.
Husband says his mussels were the best he's ever had, all the food was excellent.
We will definitely come again, and maybe stay as well.

Warm, warm, warm, and friendly Visited a couple of times whilst in Minehead. The wind was bitter but when walking through the door of the Old Ship the heat hit us. Lovely. Two open fires burning brightly and a really warm greeting from staff to match. Didn't eat here but hope to next time.
An interesting pub with an equally interesting past. Located on the harbourside of the old town to the north.
Well worth a visit, especially on a cold day.
I expect it would be rammed in the season but it has quite a lot of outdoor seating too.

Excellent I can thoroughly recommend The Old Ship Aground. Our repeated visits are due to the ambience, the 5 star food and brilliant service. The waiting staff are an object lesson on how to make customers feel relaxed and appreciated.
